Hello,

I’m a storyteller & strategist based in Atlanta, GA. Getting paid to tell stories makes me feel like I’m winning at adulthood.

Heavily influenced by a post-college stint working in Hollywood, I’ve spent the bulk of my career using traditional storytelling principles in less obvious ways to create value for brands and cultural institutions.

My approach to story has a lot to do with how story affects the human brain. While information activates the language-processing parts of our brains, story activates the experiential parts—the parts that would be active if we were living the story’s events ourselves. That’s why story is uniquely capable of forging emotional connection with audiences.

Using story elements like hooks, thresholds, tension, and transformation, I source and shape raw material to create engaging human experiences for screens and physical spaces. In some cases, like a documentary web series, that work is relatively straightforward. In other cases—designing an immersive brand experience center or using architectural media to create a distinct vibe for a new real estate development—using story to push people’s neural buttons is a much less obvious endeavor. That’s where things get interesting to me. Peruse the case studies below to see more examples of this philosophy in action.

A story is the only way to activate parts in the brain so that a listener turns the story into their own idea and experience.
