About

A sucker for a story since 1978.

As an English literature major in college, I remember thinking, “Someone is going to give me a degree for this?” Twists and turns and twenty years later, it’s still about story for me, and I still feel like I’m getting away with something.

Two decades into my career, I have developed content for most media, including film and television, web series, long-form articles, websites, social campaigns, museum exhibits, ambient outdoor media, and experiential activations.

But specifically, what do I do?

I concept, strategize, write, pitch, collaborate, manage, direct, and produce. In other words, I guide story-driven projects from ideation to execution, playing a hands-on role throughout. I’m a natural leader and ambitious, big-picture thinker who’s also detail-oriented and used to rolling up my sleeves.

During the decade-plus I’ve spent working in the agency world, I’ve found that my skills and interests cut across the traditional dividing line between strategy and creative, making me something of a misfit. But this “otherness” is also my superpower.

Mindful of both the creative and business sides of every project, I have a knack for identifying opportunities that will inspire creatives, resonate with audiences, AND generate value for whoever’s footing the bill. There’s something immensely gratifying to me about producing work that has both creative integrity and commercial upside, and I enjoy the process of constructing these mutual wins.

If you’re looking for a creative partner to help your organization push past standard ways of doing and connect more meaningfully with audiences through compelling storytelling and imaginative content experiences, I’d love to hear from you.
